Congratulations to our high school intern, Jordan Newkirk, who graduated from Spotswood High School on June 13, 2009. Jordan completed a business internship here at Blue Ridge Insurance Services during the last semester of school, and we all enjoyed getting to know Jordan and putting him to work here at BRIS. We wish Jordan all the best as he starts college this fall.
Spotswood's Julie Cassetta was Jordan's Business Mentor during the internship, and she did a great job of coordinating Jordan's schedule and communicating the program's goals. Since Jordan was the first intern for BRIS, we appreciated Julie's ongoing involvement in the process, and her genuine concern that the students in the program showed responsibility and growth as their internships progressed. We support this kind of program in our area schools, and want to give Ms. Cassetta a big thank you for her hard work in making the internship a success.
